Local specialist clinic partners with charity to provide prostate screening for residents of Milton Keynes.
The Hair and Skin Clinic MK is delighted to announce they are partnering with Milton Keynes Prostate Cancer Support Group to offer a private prostate screen test on 16th February 2025
Prostate cancer is a serious health concern for men, often developing silently. Every year, more than 52,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK alone. For some men, prostate cancer is slow growing and may never need treatment, however, early detection of prostate cancer is key to successful treatment and monitoring, making regular PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) tests essential.

One thing we know for sure is that early detection of cancer can massively improve the chances of successful treatment. This is why we are excited to be partnering with Milton Keynes Prostate Cancer Support Group to offer this valuable service to the Milton Keynes community. Males aged 40+ living in Milton Keynes and the surrounding towns and villages are invited to register for the prostate screening event to be held at The Hair and Skin Clinic in Sherington. By attending the screening event, men can take a proactive step towards safeguarding their health.
How to Participate:
Spaces are limited to just 240 so to secure your spot, please book your appointment online. You will be assigned a specific time slot to minimise wait times and ensure a smooth screening process.
Cost: There is a £25 fee for costs towards the at the event.

About Milton Keynes Prostate Cancer Support Group
MKPCS was set up just 10 years ago at the invitation of MKUH and we are a registered charity and affiliated to PCUK.
Our primary aims are to educate and support people with prostate problems, most typically Prostate cancer.
We are totally self-funded, collecting money from sponsors, other charitable organisations, parish councils, and other fund-raising events.
Our most significant event is PSA testing.
We’ve run these events for about 8 years, under the control of GFCT - the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust.
The GFCT provide the backbone of this type of PC testing in the U.K.
They host the website where men log in to book and pay for a timed slot, they provide phlebotomists, they provide the actual tests and distribution of the results.
