I recently reviewed a client who had experienced significant hair loss. Although her ferritin and transferrin saturation was within normal range, it needed to be at a specific threshold based on the hair loss. She had been dismissed as having normal blood levels.

I recently conducted 2 consultations, took bloods and recommended urgent referral to the Haematology department as clients had abnormalities that required urgent attention. Several trips to the GP with symptoms did not yield any results.
